Hardscaping is where we started our business, and as such, it is still a primary focus. A new patio is not only a wonderful piece of your backyard but it is a joy for us to design and build. Providing space for you to enjoy special moments with your family and friends can’t be overlooked and we take pride in our role in it.

Square foot pricing is extremely inaccurate and unfair-- either to us or to you, the customer-- as there are a lot of factors that affect pricing.
Clay subsoils need a more intensive base preparation than sandy soils. Back yard patios are harder to access than front yard patios, so the labour time increases. Paving stones can range from $5-$17/sq.ft. for the bricks themselves.
All of this means that unit pricing is too variable from yard to yard. Instead, we use data collected over the past 12 years to influence how we quote our labour and materials needed. This provides a homeowner with our most accurate price rather than a guesstimate.
If you are planning to put a hot tub on your patio we will typically increase your base material depth beneath the hot tub from 6” to 10” to accommodate the additional load. This helps to know ahead of time so we can plan effectively for the additional excavation and base install.
With the use of polymer enhanced jointing sand, weed growth and ant colonization can be prevented. With an open graded base system these problems are also avoidable by removing any fine material that would encourage these problems.
If natural sand is used you could have weeds or ants come through your joints. We recommend natural sand is used in yards with extremely high ground water that have been known to heave dramatically (unless an extensive water management plan is in place).
